Good afternoon Chiefs, we wanted to let parents know that we just had a fire alarm go off. There appears to be a faulty sensor. There is NO FIRE. The kids did have to go outside while we investigated. Everyone is back inside now and has had the opportunity to drink water. Thank you for your attention to this message.

Andrea Lance presented a free resource through SCDE called Discovery Education to a group of educators on Wednesday, July 16th. Educators were told about the various tools to support math instruction, to include standards aligned lessons and evidenced based strategies. Discovery Education supports all subjects and can be used to supplement their curriculum.
CHANGE: The Board of Trustees meeting will be held in the McCormick High School Media Center, rather than McCormick Middle School. The meeting will still begin at 6 pm.

This morning is off to a great start! MCSD presented at SCASA i3 on our amazing journey of district transformation. Presentation title: “Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is district transformation. Timing is everything”. The session was well-attended by school administrators and district leadership across the state. We are so proud of our district! Go Chiefs!

"The best honor you can give to anyone is to show respect for their time." We had a wonderful time celebrating our amazing team at our end-of-the-year luncheon! It was a joy to honor everyone’s years of service, and we loved taking the time to recognize our Teachers of the Year and Employees of the Year. What a great way to wrap up the year together!
