Good Afternoon Chiefs,
Out of an abundance of caution, we will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, February 3rd. While temperatures will rise to the mid-40s this afternoon, and will continue to melt the snow and ice, there could be some additional refreezing this evening.
Bus routes will run approximately two hours later than their usual route. Should you have any questions regarding your students’ pick-up time in the morning, please contact our transportation office at 864-852-0636.
We thank you for your flexibility to the scheduling changes we have had to make over the last two weeks. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
Thank you for your attention to this message, and we will look forward to seeing all of our Chiefs back tomorrow!

As a reminder, an e-learning day means that students do not report to school, but will complete assignments via their Google Classroom. Additional guidance may be forthcoming from your child’s school and/or teachers regarding e-learning directions and expectations.
Additionally, there will be no athletic events, practices, or after school activities on Monday, February 2nd.
Please stay tuned in to our social media outlets, district website and be sure to download the McCormick County School District app. We will keep you updated in the event we need to make additional changes to our schedule.
Please stay safe and warm!

We will resume a normal school schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th. This includes all after school activities and athletics.
Thank you for your attention to this message, and we look forward to seeing all of our Chiefs back tomorrow!
E-Learning Day Announced for Tuesday, January 27th:
Out of an abundance of caution, Tuesday, January 27th will be an e-learning day. While melting from the winter storm is occurring today, temperatures are expected to drop into the teens this evening and tomorrow morning, creating possible black ice and hazardous road conditions in the morning. Additionally, very cold wind chills in the single digits are expected.
As a reminder, an e-learning day means that students do not report to school, but will complete assignments via their Google Classroom. Additional guidance may be forthcoming from your child’s school and/or teachers.
Thank you for your attention to this message and your flexibility, as the safety of our students and staff is paramount.
Continue to stay safe and warm, and we will look forward to seeing everyone soon.
