Last night, we celebrated thirteen students at McCormick High School who completed the requirements for work-based learning (WBL) opportunities. The state mandates that students complete a minimum of 40 hours with their employers, sign a training agreement, and receive two evaluations to earn credit. Placements must align with students' goals on their Individual Graduation Plans (IGP). WBL aims to raise awareness of potential careers, facilitate exploration of career options, and prepare students for future employment. WBL involves structured interactions between students, employers, or community partners, either at school or at work sites.

Our middle school students are ready to nail that test! This morning, they rubbed the Chiefs' helmet for good luck and received a peppermint for a fresh start to the day!

McCormick County Resource HUB: Helping You Access the Resources You Need.

HAPPY EARTH DAY: The students and MS athletes started prepping the ground for the garden, and today, the raised beds were installed, with our first two plants planted. The plants will be planted as they arrive between now and April 28th. The garden is located on the front of the middle school on the right as you walk into the gym. Please come take a look. As we secure the funds, the future involves stones/rocks/mulch around the garden, benches, and more. The students have been amazing - some do not want to get their hands dirty, but they eventually dive in. The students are also required to keep journals of the project.

See you there!

Happy ThursYAY! 🎉 We just want to remind all our amazing students and parents that you have a fun, long Easter weekend coming up! There’s no school on Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, so enjoy every moment! Have a fantastic weekend! 🐰🌼

Happy National Assistant Principal Week! We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our assistant principals!

Help us celebrate our FANTASTIC Assistant Principals this week!

The Be Proud Be Pro Truck gives students the opportunity to learn about the possibilities for careers and trades without having to go out on the jobsite so they can be right here and try eight different simulations. Thanks Ms Martin, MCSD Career Development Facilitator, for arranging this awesome event.

Artistic gifted and talented auditions are underway. Judges and students are excited for the opportunity.

UPDATE: Due to the severe weather approaching our area, we will be dismissing buses a few minutes early. Thank you for your flexibility.
