Students from McCormick County School District attended the AHEC Camps this summer: AHEC (Area Health Education Center) programs include various summer camps and career academies designed to expose high school and college students to healthcare professions. These programs offer hands-on experiences, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to encourage students to pursue careers in healthcare.

7th-12th grade students interested in playing volleyball this upcoming season will have volleyball practice starting on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 4-6 pm. Students must have a completed and passed physical on file before they will be allowed to practice.

Good morning, everyone. Your senior banner will be available for pickup on Wednesday, June 18th, between 10:00am and 12:00pm in front of Strom's Drug Store in downtown McCormick. Ms. Talbert will be there to give the banner to you. Parents will be allowed to pick their child's banner. Sincerely, Ms. Talbert

Attention Rising Seniors: Senior pictures will be taken on Monday, July 14, in the MHS library beginning at 9am; please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to get signed in & prepped.  Arriving early will help ease overcrowding & confusion.  You must make an appointment in order to have your pictures taken as there will not be time for walk-ins. - Register for your appointment at https://prestigeportraits.com - Search for the school by typing in "Mc Cormick" in the search bar. Yes, there must be a space between the two Cs. You should be receiving more information from Prestige/Lifetouch in your email and/or mailbox within the next few weeks. If you have not received anything two weeks before picture day, please let me know so that I can contact the company to have it sent again. You will take a formal picture (outfit provided by Prestige/Lifetouch) & one set of casual pictures. This year, Lifetouch is also providing two extra options for your casual pictures. - $30 Essential Sessions (three outfits) - $20 Mini Sessions (two outfits) Outfits for casual pictures must meet dress code policy as per the Parent Student Handbook.  This means no low cut or tops that show the belly, no short shorts or skirts, no sagging pants, etc.  The only exceptions are heels or school assigned sports uniforms. Ladies, please wear or bring a tanktop/spaghetti strap top that can be worn underneath the drape for your formal picture.  You will be provided the drape & a pearl necklace for the picture.  Make sure your hair & makeup are done before your scheduled time.  If that means you need to get here early, please do so. Gentleman, you will be provided with a shirt, bowtie, & jacket for your formal picture. McCormick Community Fun Day Saturday, June 7 10am-2pm McCormick County Recreation Baseball Field 110 Bradley Street

"I would like to thank the MHS Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), McCormick County School District (MCSD), the Paul Dennis Center, and the McCormick Community for all their support and help with our 2025 Senior Banner Fundraiser. The fundraiser took place on Saturday, May 24 and it was a BIG success. The MHS SAAC selled 26 hot dog plates as well as received numerous donations to the purchase of the banner. Our goal for the senior banner fundraiser was at least $100-$120. All together the SAAC raised $686. The money will be used to purchase this banner as well as support our community and student-athletes. Again, thank you all for your support and continue to encourage our student-athletes to be and do their absolute best everyday as well as, show them that taking action and being great leaders can make a change in their lives." ~Makel Tillman

Andre Bost Signs with Brevard College On May 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the McCormick High School Media Center, Andre Bost officially signed with Brevard College. This marks a significant milestone in Andre’s academic and athletic journey. Surrounded by faculty, staff, family, friends, and community supporters, the event celebrated Andre’s hard work, dedication, and commitment. This special moment reflects not only his accomplishments but also the strong support system that has helped him reach this point.
