The Chiefs will travel to Emerald High School to play Greenwood Christian at 2 pm on Saturday (12-27-25). The Chiefs will play again on Monday and Tuesday the next week at a time to be determined.

​The Lady Chiefs will travel to Ware Shoals today (12-19-25) at 4:30 pm to play the Emerald Lady Vikings.

The Lady Chiefs will travel to Ware Shoals and play the Ninety Six Lady Wildcats on Thursday (12-18-25) at 5:30 pm. The games on Friday and Saturday will be determined by the outcome of the previous games.

I want to take this opportunity to shout out two amazing young people at McCormick High School. Let me take a minute to brag a little bit. I sent out an email on Thursday asking for students to volunteer their time during The Induction Ceremony to greet parents. The purpose was to get parents to complete the parent survey for our Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment. We need 100% participation from parents, students, and educators.
Two young people decided to take the challenge to volunteer at the last minute. Those two students were Alisha Brown & Jesse Hendley. I want both of these young people to know how much I appreciate their willingness to help and offer their time to do something to help their school. You are two bright shining stars and I want you both to know that I see your lights. These young people showed character, work ethic, and responsibility.

Students are encouraged to participate in Basketball Dress Down Days as long as their clothing follows the general dresscode as well as the day's theme.

Students in Mr. Friedman & Mrs. Cartledge's math classes recently visited the library to use the math skills they've learned this semester in order to "break out" of a variety of digital escape rooms.
