The SC Department of Education’s Office of Student and Community Engagement is offering a free community-focused training on Mentorship and Literacy Tutoring. Participants experience a John Maxwell i-Lead Transformation Table, hear from two organizations that successfully mentor students in SC, and learn about literacy tutoring from two SCDE literacy specialists. The event is designed to empower community members with tools they can use in and out of schools to help guide others in a positive direction (mentoring) and help others learn to read (literacy).
