The JV boys basketball game that was scheduled today (2-3-26) at Abbeville has been postponed and will be played at Abbeville next Tuesday (2-10-26) at 5 pm.

The JV and varsity basketball games that were scheduled to be played at Ware Shoals on Tuesday (1-27-26) will now be played starting at 4:45 pm on Wednesday (1-28-26).

Thanks to Dr. Tomiko T. Smalls for visiting the Writing Across Disciplines classes to discuss reflective journaling and strategies for completing successful scholarship applications. Students were provided with their own journals and began several writing prompts. They were challenged to think about what they are thinking (Metacognition) and to thoroughly review scholarship criteria and rubric, when provided. Thanks to Ms. Bradshaw and Ms. Ouzts for allowing Dr. Smalls to collaborate with their classes throughout the semester.

Due to the possibility of some wintry precipitation the basketball game at Dixie will now be played on Thursday (1-22-26) starting at 5 pm with the JV boys followed by the varsity teams.

Congratulations, to MHS students who were celebrated today for completing Microburst, OSHA 10, and Television Broadcasting 1 Certifications. The students were treated to a pizza party. Thank you Ms. Marie Ferdinand for your help with setting up for the party. Thank you to the teachers who supported and encouraged these students to complete their certification. You all rock! Keep up the good work.

UPDATE!! The PTO meeting has been moved to Monday, February 2. It will still be held at 5:30pm in the Parenting Center.
MHS will have a PTO meeting on Monday, January 26, 2026, in the Parenting Center @ 5:30 p.m. All parents are invited to attend.

The jv games vs Saluda that were scheduled at 4 pm on Tuesday (1-6-26) will now be played at 6 pm in the MMS gym. The varsity games vs SCSDB will be played in the MHS gym at 6 pm.
