This is a reminder regarding parking at the front entrance of the school.
The area directly in front of the school must remain clear because it is a fire zone and provides emergency access for fire trucks and other emergency vehicles.
Parents should only pull to the front entrance when they are signing their child in and leaving immediately afterward. If you need to attend a meeting, speak with a staff member, or conduct other business at the school, please park in the designated parking lot.
Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff safe and ensuring that emergency vehicles have clear access to the building when needed.

I hope you all are doing well. This is a reminder that tomorrow is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 11:30.
Also, due to the extreme heat and the safety of our students and staff, we are postponing the Water Field Day (MAP Celebration), which was planned for Thursday. We will be sending new invitations as soon as we reschedule this special day honoring students who met their MAP goals.
Friday is a teacher in-service day. Students do not attend school on Friday.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher or our front office staff.

We had some technical difficulties today and were unable to complete our Math MAP testing. We believe all the glitches have been worked out with the technology, and we will be ready to test tomorrow. Students need to get a good night's rest, eat a good breakfast, and get to school on time tomorrow. Have them explain their goals to you and then encourage them to do their best to meet those goals.

We have a PTO meeting this afternoon at 4:00 pm. If you are unable to join us in person, we have the following virtual option:

Parents will not be walking students to the classrooms on the first day so we can start on our normal arrival procedures, so be sure to join us this afternoon. We have plenty of staff in the hallways to ensure students get to the correct place.
If you plan to pick your child up in the car rider line at any point this year, be sure that you get a tag today while you are here. If you do not have the tag, you will have to go to the front office to pick your child up, which could cause a delay.
Be sure your child's teacher knows how your child will arrive and be dismissed. If you ever change the way they go home, you must notify us in writing.
All MCSD students must be dropped off and picked up each day at their respective schools this year. MMS and MHS students will not be allowed to walk through the building to or from the Elementary School for arrival and dismissal.
Arrival time begins at 7:30 am. Students need to be here before 7:50 to get breakfast in the cafeteria. If students arrive at 8:00 or later, a parent must bring them to the front office and come in with the child to sign them in as tardy. We dismiss at 3:10 pm. No early dismissals are allowed after 2:45 pm.
We look forward to a wonderful year at MES, where "Great Minds Grow Here!"
Reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

I hope you all are doing well. I hope you are as excited about school starting as we are. Are you ready to find out who your child's teacher is? Be sure to join us on Tuesday, July 21, from 3:00-4:30 pm. You can meet your child's teacher, bring their supplies, find out important information about our school, and enjoy socializing with the MES family. Parents will not be walking students to their classrooms on the first day, so this is your opportunity to talk to your child's teacher and have them prepared to start on their regular arrival and dismissal schedules.
