Books on Main announces “The Nugget,” a new children’s reading area.
Join us on November 14, 2026, from 2- 4 p.m. for a special event celebrating our newly enhanced children’s reading area, added within the Books on Main location downtown. Dubbed “The Nugget,” this dedicated area within the store features inviting seating and wall murals that surround the numerous children’s books available to discover and purchase.
Storytime will kick off an afternoon of interactive games that feature a scavenger hunt, crafts, and goodie bags! Children of all ages are welcome to join in the festivities and must be accompanied by an adult.

MES has had an amazing week! GT Artistic Auditions, Donut Book Tastings, Students talking about goals, and many, many more wonderful experiences. Our faculty and staff are the best and they are "Growing Great Minds!"

We have some exciting news to share. Please help us to welcome Mrs. Becky James as a new 5th-grade teacher at MES! She will be joining Ms. Anthony. She will be here tomorrow, ready to meet you and your child for parent conferences at your scheduled times. See the attached letter for more information.
We hope you are enjoying your intercession and the cooler weather! As a reminder, Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for tomorrow, October 6. If you have not yet scheduled a time to meet with your child's teacher, please email them to reserve a time slot. Parents will receive report cards at the meeting, along with other valuable insights and updates regarding their child's progress.
Students will return to school on Wednesday, October 8.

Don't forget that tomorrow is Picture Day at MES! Students can wear their favorite Sunday best or fall clothing as long as it follows our regular dress code. This is a reminder regarding parking at the front entrance of the school.
The area directly in front of the school must remain clear because it is a fire zone and provides emergency access for fire trucks and other emergency vehicles.
Parents should only pull to the front entrance when they are signing their child in and leaving immediately afterward. If you need to attend a meeting, speak with a staff member, or conduct other business at the school, please park in the designated parking lot.
