Parent and community volunteers are needed. The Rotary E-Club of the Carolinas and Clemson Extension are partnering with MES to support our Outdoor Learning Garden. Good afternoon, MES Parents and Guardians,
We had some technical difficulties today and were unable to complete our Math MAP testing. We believe all the glitches have been worked out with the technology, and we will be ready to test tomorrow. Students need to get a good night's rest, eat a good breakfast, and get to school on time tomorrow. Have them explain their goals to you and then encourage them to do their best to meet those goals.

Many of you signed up for PTO during our Open House. We need your support and feedback. Please join us for our first PTO meeting. The Power of WE! " I can do things that you cannot. You can do things that I cannot. Together WE can do great things." Mother Teresa

The McCormick Chiefs will host American Leadership Academy in a scrimmage at home on Thursday (8/6/26) at 5:30 pm. Admission will be $5.
It's been an excellent first full week at MES! Please see the information below. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to give us a call. We hope you have a great weekend!

Today is the day! We are excited that you get to meet your teacher! Drop in at MES between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm today. Get classroom assignments, meet teachers, drop off school supplies, get your car rider tags, and enjoy seeing your friends. Be sure to visit the photobooth too!
Parents will not be walking students to the classrooms on the first day so we can start on our normal arrival procedures, so be sure to join us this afternoon. We have plenty of staff in the hallways to ensure students get to the correct place.
If you plan to pick your child up in the car rider line at any point this year, be sure that you get a tag today while you are here. If you do not have the tag, you will have to go to the front office to pick your child up, which could cause a delay.
Be sure your child's teacher knows how your child will arrive and be dismissed. If you ever change the way they go home, you must notify us in writing.
All MCSD students must be dropped off and picked up each day at their respective schools this year. MMS and MHS students will not be allowed to walk through the building to or from the Elementary School for arrival and dismissal.
Arrival time begins at 7:30 am. Students need to be here before 7:50 to get breakfast in the cafeteria. If students arrive at 8:00 or later, a parent must bring them to the front office and come in with the child to sign them in as tardy. We dismiss at 3:10 pm. No early dismissals are allowed after 2:45 pm.
We look forward to a wonderful year at MES, where "Great Minds Grow Here!"
Reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Good afternoon MES Community,
I hope you all are doing well. I hope you are as excited about school starting as we are. Are you ready to find out who your child's teacher is? Be sure to join us on Tuesday, July 21, from 3:00-4:30 pm. You can meet your child's teacher, bring their supplies, find out important information about our school, and enjoy socializing with the MES family. Parents will not be walking students to their classrooms on the first day, so this is your opportunity to talk to your child's teacher and have them prepared to start on their regular arrival and dismissal schedules.
