Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 23rd, we will have a Pink Out Day for Breast Cancer Awareness Day that will coincide with the Pink Out Game designated by the MMS Coaching Staff for 8th Grade Night. We will allow students to participate by wearing pink tomorrow. Students must still be in dress code (not uniform), adhering to the following rules:
No hoodies
No Jeggings
No Leggings
No joggers
Blue Jeans will be Permitted (no holes in the jeans)

Picture Retake Day for grades 6-11 will be this Tuesday, October 22nd for students who missed the first picture day. Students are required to wear their uniform just like any other school day. We hope this message finds you safe and well following Hurricane Helene. Our primary focus following the hurricane was to support our students, staff, and community in meeting their essential needs. We appreciate your understanding and resilience.
We are excited to announce that Spirit Week will take place from October 14-18. Despite the short notice, we encourage students to participate in the daily dress-up themes organized by McCormick High School. Let’s come together to boost school spirit and support one another during this time.
Here are the themes for each day:
Monday: Pajama Day
Tuesday: Soccer Moms vs. BBQ Dads
Wednesday: Anything but a Bookbag
Thursday: Celebrity Look-A-Like
Friday: Chieftain Pride

All athletic events have been canceled for October 1, 2024- October 6, 2024.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the forecasted flooding today and into this evening, we will be dismissing school at noon today. Lunch will be served to all students prior to dismissal. Thank you in advance for your flexibility and cooperation, as the safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance.
The volleyball game and all after school activities have been canceled for Thursday (9-26-24).
The MMS football game that was scheduled for today (9-25-24) has been canceled. Because of the many adjustments made to the football schedule throughout our state, there are not enough officials.
Friday, September 27th will be an E-Learning Day. All teachers will post assignments for students to complete in Google Classroom. Teachers will be available by email between the hours of 8AM and 12PM for students who may need assistance. Attendance will be taken based on completion of the assignments given in each class. All assignments should be completed by 3:00PM on Friday. Please contact the school tomorrow if you have any questions.

The varsity football team will be traveling to Fox Creek High School on Friday (9-13-24) to face the Predators. Game time is set for 7:30 pm and the address is 165 Shortcut Rd, North Augusta, SC Admission is $10.00 and there will be a clear bag policy.

MHS will recognize Church Night at the football game on Friday (8-30-24). One person will get free admission into the game with a current church bulletin. The cost of regular admission is $8.00 and only cash is accepted. Gates will open at 6:30 pm.
The MMS Football Scrimmage that was scheduled at JET today has been cancelled. The players will still have football practice at their regular time. You may reach out to the coaching staff for any more information.

The Lady Chiefs are excited to start their season and will be playing Green Upstate at home on Monday (8-26-24) with the JV's starting at 5:30 pm and the varsity following. The game will take place in the MMS gym and admission is $7.00. Only cash will be accepted and we do have a clear bag policy.
McCormick Middle School will be hosting its' first PTO Elections Meeting on Tuesday, August 27th from 6PM - 7PM in Room 302. If you can't come to the meeting in person, we will have a virtual option available. If you have any questions, you may call the front office.
