Congratulations to Zariah Hill and Asha Curry for being chosen to represent McCormick High Schoolat the State House for SC STEM Signing Day! STEM Signing Day celebrates high school seniors from across the country who choose to pursue STEM education at technical programs, two- and four-year colleges and universities. Just like signing days for athletes, STEM Signing Day honorees sign a letter of intent to pursue their STEM goals. A panel of young engineers told the students how they got to where they are (Boeing, BMW, Michelin, Nucor) and encouraged them to network and not be afraid of change. Along with other students from across the state, Zariah and Asha were recognized by the House and the Senate and took a group picture with the governor.

Good morning, Parents/Guardians/Students. The MHS underclassmen Parent/Guardian meetings scheduled for this evening at 5:30pm has been postponed. As we move into the end-of-year activities, we will make every effort to reschedule the meetings in a timely manner. Parents, we still need your support. You should have received a letter with directions on how to complete the Parent Survey given each year by the State Department of Education. If you have not completed this survey, please do so before tomorrow at 12:00pm (noon). If you are experiencing difficulty with the process, please contact Ms. Candience Bell by phone @ (864) 602-1653 or by email @ guidance@mccormick.k12.sc.us. Your completion of the survey is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your love and support of your child, our students, our school, and our community. Have a great day. GKW
