Have a magnificent weekend!

We are about to roll out our new online registration. We are having a pre-registration launch starting on March 25th until April 14th. So don't forget to register in advance.

Literacy Night was a wonderful event! Preston Thorne and Langston Moore were our guest speakers. They are former football players who are exceptional authors and motivational speakers. The message to parents tonight went right along with the Profile of the SC Graduate and the MES mission which is to empower students to reach their greatest potential. They talked about how teaching children to communicate is important. Have them order their own food, or speak up for themselves. They also encouraged parents to get rid of the word "good." Ask your child deeper questions when they get home and don't accept the word "good." Hold them accountable in expanding their adjectives and vocabulary. Also, they gave parents an assignment. Ask your child their favorite YouTuber and go home and look up that person. Know what they are looking at. We live in a digital age and we must keep up with them. One quote that stood out, was "Skills pay the Bills." We have to teach them these skills at home and school. Reading is important every day. He gave parents some strategies on how to read with their children. Thank you everyone for coming out tonight!

Have a great weekend. Be sure to come to our PTO and LIteracy NIght next week.

We are looking forward to this event! Mark your calendars!

Please be reminded of the student dress code policy. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school.

We have had a great week at MES and are looking forward to a better one next week.

Congratulations to all of you for a well-deserved award.

Invitations were sent out to students for intercession. Check your child's book bags and folders to see if they received an invitation. At this time MES programs during intersession are by invitation only. We have some wonderful opportunities for specific needs. If you are having trouble with the QR code and signing your child up, please call the school on Tuesday and we can help you with that. If your child is not signed up by Tuesday, they could lose their spot. We will be sending more invitations to others after Tuesday.

We are excited to offer this class to parents! You don't want to miss this fantastic free opportunity! If you did not receive a form and would like to sign up, please call the front office. 864-443-2292

We hope you are enjoying your long weekend!

Don't forget, today is the last day to reserve your tickets by RSVP for the 3rd-5th Grade Ties and Tiars dance next week. You will pay for the tickets at the door, but you must have them reserved by today. No extras will be available at the door. We are looking forward to this event.
