THE BLOOD MOBILE IS HERE THIS MORNING, LOCATED IN FRONT OF MES. WALK-INS ARE WELCOME!!!
Save a life with us!
We are sponsoring a blood drive at MES on Monday morning. Stand up for those in need in our community by raising awareness and lending a helping hand! You never know when someone might need a blood transfusion to save a life. I myself needed a blood transfusion at birth. Without someone's generosity, I would not be here today. Please support this special cause near and dear to my heart! If you did not have time to sign up, we will be accepting walk-ins as well.
MES will also earn $500 for every 30 people who donate, and it will go towards our school's needs. Thank you so much for your support, Go Chiefs!

Did you know that there is a Little Free Library (LFL) in McCormick?
The LFL was installed on December 5, 2025, by the Rotary E-Club of the Carolinas. The club obtained a grant to purchase the library and supply it with books for the coming year. With the grant, the Rotary E-Club of the Carolinas will place new books in the library each month in 2026. These books were obtained with guidance from the University of South Carolina’s Cocky’s Reading Express. The books placed in the library are appropriate for children of all ages. Additionally, anyone can place a book in the library and make it available for anyone else in the community to pick up.
This is how the LFL works*:
1. It provides opportunities for everyone to share good things to read. You can bring your own books from your childhood, books you would recommend to friends, informative books, and just books that engage readers. By bringing books to the library, you help ensure the shelves are always stocked with good reading material.
2. It belongs to everyone in the community - neighbors, friends, and people we don’t even know yet. Anyone can use it. That’s why we want to take care of it.
3. If you see something you’d like to read, take it. You don’t have to give a book at the same time as you take one.
4. After you’ve read it, share it in any Little Free Library book-sharing box, bring it back, or pass it on to a friend. Be a friend of all libraries, big and small. Share books whenever you can.
