Park only in the front of the school. Sign-in in the main office. If you don't have a tag, you will be asked to leave. - Kono Ice must PRE-PAYED ONLINE BY TODAY! Good evening, We are excited about SCREADY Math testing tomorrow. Be sure students get a good night sleep, eat a good breakfast, and are here on time. Our students are ready to get their "Boots on the Ground" and do their best! The upcoming events flyer has been updated with a slight change where 5th Grade will have their Bridging Ceremony and Awards at the same time. Don't forget that Field Day is Thursday. Good evening, Interim Reports, Family MAP Reports, SCREADY Dates, and end-of-the-year award program information will go home with students today. Don't forget that Spring Pictures are tomorrow. Students can wear their favorite spring clothing as long as it is still within the appropriate dress guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

We will have spring pictures next week. Students may wear their spring outfits to school. Although they do not have to wear uniforms, the regular dress code still applies.

Good evening, This is a reminder that our Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade students will be taking the Spring MAP Math test tomorrow. Today, students enjoyed a PEP Rally for testing. MHS Teacher Cadets, under the direction of Mrs. Workman, planned an exciting motivational rally! We know students are prepared and ready to show us what they know! Be sure students get a good night's rest, have a good breakfast, and arrive on time to school. Encourage them to try their best and let them know you believe in them.

Good evening MES Chief Parents and Guardians, If you have or know someone who has an upcoming 4 year old, now is the time to register them for the 25-26 school year. Spaces are limited, so register now! Next week at MES, Report Cards will go home on Monday with students. Students in Grades 3rd, 4th and 5th will be taking MAP testing on Tuesday and Thursday. Ask your child what their goal is for Math and for ELA. Students should get a good night sleep and be on time to school. We can't wait to see how much growth they have made! I believe in our students, faculty and staff. I know we are ready to prove we are STRONGER TOGETHER and we will prove we are Better than Average! Call if you have any questions or concerns.

Good evening parents, Please note the following reminders for this week. Teachers are scheduling parent conferences for Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Contact your child's teacher if you have not scheduled your time yet. The Good News Club will meet on March 11 at their regular time. Students will not be attending school on Friday as it is a teacher in-service day. If you have any questions, please give us a call.

Good afternoon, We will have an E-Learning Day tomorrow due to potential severe weather. Students brought home devices and chargers today. Their assignments will be posted by 8:00 AM tomorrow morning in their Google Classroom. Remind students that these devices are to only be used for their assignments. If you have any questions or concerns, please email your child's teacher or message them on DoJo. Our Literacy Night is still on and we hope to see you at 5:30pm at the school tonight.

Good evening, Students have been enjoying the Literacy activities this week all based around "Once Upon a Book." Parents are invited to Literacy Night on Tuesday, February 4 at 5:30 pm so your child can present their projects. We do have a clear bag policy for all events. Good News Club will NOT meet on Tuesday, March 4. Pre-K Registration is open to all upcoming 4 year old students for the 25-26 school year. See the attached flyer for more details. Interim Reports will go out next week. Be on the look out for those. March 10, all 3rd through 5th grade parents are invited to attend an important meeting regarding SCREADY Testing coming up in the May. You also should have received a letter about upcoming parent conferences on March 13 and 14. Good afternoon, We are looking forward to celebrating Literacy Week at MES. Starting Monday, students will be reading, "Once Upon a Book," by Kate Lin and Grace Messner. They will be researching different biomes and cultures. They can dress each day to go along with different parts of the story. See the flyer. On March 4 at 5:30 pm, they will share their projects with you at Literacy Night. The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open beginning Monday. You must upload their money to the E-Wallets for students to shop at school. There is an option for shopping online, too. See the flyer for more details. Good afternoon MES Chiefs, We have been stressing to students that they should take ownership of their learning. When they get home, ask your child, "What was your learning target today?" They should be able to give you a detailed explanation. Then, have them teach it to you. Thursday, students can still participate in the "Hat's For Hope" by bringing a 1$ donation. Friday is an Inclement Weather Day, so students are out of school. Monday, Feb. 17 is a Holiday. March 4 is Literacy Night at 5:30. Students will be presenting projects. ​The JV basketball game vs. Abbeville that is scheduled on Saturday (2-8-25) will now start at 5:30 pm. Varsity games will follow the JV game and the games will take place at Erskine College.

Good afternoon MES Chiefs! This past week, Coach Jones started a boys club with some of our 4th and 5th graders. They will have a motivational lunch and learn session once a week. Good Newsletters were sent home with students last week. If your child plans to attend Good News Club on Tuesday, February 4, be sure they return their slips on Monday. Student Council is still hosting the Hats for Hope mission project. Bring $1 to school this week so you can wear a hat in support of Mrs. Davenport's fight against cancer. This week is School Counselors Week. Help us celebrate Mrs. Hutcheson and Mrs. Huff for all they do for our school and students. We love our MCSD Counselors! Mark your calendars now for our Literacy Night on Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30. Our teachers are planning an exciting night where students will be presenting a project. You will not want to miss this wonderful opportunity. Encourage students at home to "Be a Coffee Bean!" They have the power to transform our school environment every day by their positive actions and by helping others.
