McCormick Athletics Department will have a Fall Sports Parent Meeting on Thursday, August 21 at 5:30 pm in the middle school gym.

McCormick High School Varsity Football Team will face Dixie High School in the Greenwood Jamboree this Friday night at 7:00 PM. Come out and support the Chiefs!

I am so proud of McCormick High School students & staff, they volunteered at the Lonza family fun day in Greenwood, SC. I am so proud of these young ladies. Thank you Monica Peterson-New, for the connection for this amazing opportunity.

Students from McCormick County School District attended the AHEC Camps this summer: AHEC (Area Health Education Center) programs include various summer camps and career academies designed to expose high school and college students to healthcare professions. These programs offer hands-on experiences, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to encourage students to pursue careers in healthcare.

7th-12th grade students interested in playing volleyball this upcoming season will have volleyball practice starting on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 4-6 pm. Students must have a completed and passed physical on file before they will be allowed to practice.

Good morning, everyone. Your senior banner will be available for pickup on Wednesday, June 18th, between 10:00am and 12:00pm in front of Strom's Drug Store in downtown McCormick. Attention Rising Seniors: Senior pictures will be taken on Monday, July 14, in the MHS library beginning at 9am; please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to get signed in & prepped.  Arriving early will help ease overcrowding & confusion.  You must make an appointment in order to have your pictures taken as there will not be time for walk-ins. - Register for your appointment at https://prestigeportraits.com - Search for the school by typing in "Mc Cormick" in the search bar. Yes, there must be a space between the two Cs. You should be receiving more information from Prestige/Lifetouch in your email and/or mailbox within the next few weeks. If you have not received anything two weeks before picture day, please let me know so that I can contact the company to have it sent again. You will take a formal picture (outfit provided by Prestige/Lifetouch) & one set of casual pictures. This year, Lifetouch is also providing two extra options for your casual pictures. - $30 Essential Sessions (three outfits) - $20 Mini Sessions (two outfits) Outfits for casual pictures must meet dress code policy as per the Parent Student Handbook.  This means no low cut or tops that show the belly, no short shorts or skirts, no sagging pants, etc.  The only exceptions are heels or school assigned sports uniforms. Ladies, please wear or bring a tanktop/spaghetti strap top that can be worn underneath the drape for your formal picture.  You will be provided the drape & a pearl necklace for the picture.  Make sure your hair & makeup are done before your scheduled time.  If that means you need to get here early, please do so. Gentleman, you will be provided with a shirt, bowtie, & jacket for your formal picture.
