"McCormick High School is offering a second certification. Until today, we have been offering 1 certification, Microburst EmployAbility. I am so proud to announce that Ms. Jillian Coffin has agreed to support a 2nd certification, OSHA 10, and have her students complete this certification. Both of these certifications earn students an industry credential and help with completion in all cluster area pathways. Thank you, Ms. Coffin, for your support and dedication to helping our students become successful in and out of the classroom. Way to Go!"

"Students toured the campus of South Carolina State University and received a welcome from university president, Col. (US Army Retired) Alexander Conyers, the 13th president of the school. They learned about the SC State Orangeburg Massacre, which was the shooting of student protestors in 1968. They also had the opportunity to see a few MHS graduates who encouraged them to push for greatness and assured them that it is possible for great things to come from McCormick."
