Some of our young ladies were able to experience the sisterhood that is Spelman College. Spelman, ranked #1 HBCU for the last 19 years in a row, is a leading liberal arts college widely recognized as the global leader in the education of women of African descent.
Take a look at their impressive highlights: https://www.spelman.edu/_1_Docs-and-Files/about/spelman-at-a-glance-092325.pdf

A group of juniors and seniors toured Clark Atlanta University, which is know as the "most filmed HBCU" in the nation for films including School Daze, Stomp the Yard, Drumline, and Hidden Figures. W.E.B. Du Bois was a professor there who established the first school of scientific sociology. Our school district does its best to offer opportunities to involve parents not only in school activities, but also as partners in the education process of the children. Please complete this parent survey to assist us in determining what kinds of activities have worked well, what activities need to be improved, and what additional activities should be included.
All Title I schools have funds earmarked for parent involvement activities. Your input will assist the Title I School Planning Team in identification of these activities.
Thank you for your time!
