Students in JROTC assisted the IT department with setting up computers for adult education classes. Thank you, JROTC instructors, SGM Connor, MSG Calloway & IT Department (Kristine Pope & Debra Robinson) for allowing our students to assist with this project. Thank you for the teamwork!

We had a wonderful AHEC meeting today. Thank you to our speakers, Ms. Laura Crawner and AHEC representative Ms. Shayla Dirton, for their time and contributions. The session was excellent, and the students truly benefited from learning about the endless possibilities within the healthcare profession. We hope to see more students at the next event!

Thanks to Full Sail University and the teachers who allowed their students to attend these awesome workshops!

In the Sports Media workshop, students were introduced to sports-related fields, including marketing, media, and sportscasting. They worked in groups to add commentary to various sporting events, including WWE, NFL, boxing, the Winter Olympics, and PGA. They also participated in an NHL Expansion Challenge, trying to determine which location would be best for a new hockey team.

In the Music Production workshop, students explored multiple areas of the music industry, including audio engineering, live events, composition, and business. Students worked in groups to utilize samples, loops, and virtual instruments to create a short music track with GarbageBand for artists like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Drake, and Maroon 5. Teachers were challenged to see if they could determine which artists the music tracks were created for.

Spanish students helped everyone celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month last week by hosting Flag Day & Face Painting Day. They have also decorated the hallway & created informational posters to provide information about a variety of Hispanic countries & cultures. Thank you, Señora Viloria, for organizing everything!

Congratulations to Jayden Nelson-McGrier (not pictured) and Kelvin Leverett; both of these young men completed their OSHA 10 certification. Way to go! I am so proud of both of you!. Thank you, JROTC instructors, for your encouragement and support of these young men! You all rock!

I am beyond proud to share that Ra'NyJah Williams is working at the McCormick Chamber of Commerce.

Ra'NyJah is pursuing a career as an art director/entrepreneur. RaNyJah began working at the McCormick Chamber of Commerce today. Please join me in celebrating this wonderful achievement. Ra'NyJah, you rock! Thank you, Ms. Kennetta-Renee Robertson, for making this opportunity possible!

I am beyond proud to share that Londen Brown will begin working at the Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Her supervisor will be Mr. Anthony Cappellini, who will make sure that she gets a wonderful experience.

Londen is pursuing a career in the medical profession with the ultimate goal of becoming a registered nurse working in pediatrics. She begins her new work-based learning opportunity on Friday, September 25th. Please join me in celebrating this wonderful achievement! London, you rock! ​The volleyball game vs. Abbeville that was postponed earlier this season will be made up on Wednesday (9/23/26) starting with the JV game at 4:30 pm followed by the varsity team. These games will be played at Abbeville High School.

I am beyond proud to share that Ja'Miyah Jennings will begin working at the McCormick Courthouse with Mrs. Gwendolyn Chiles, the Clerk of Court.

Ja'Miyah is pursuing a career in political science with the ultimate goal of attending law school to become a lawyer. She begins her new work-based learning opportunity on Monday, September 21st.
