Mrs. Nancy Pund
I was born in New City, New York about 50 miles from New York City. I lived on five acres, with all sorts of animals and a rock walled, spring fed swimming hole. When I was just shy of 14, we moved to Florida. I attended Forest Hill High School and then Florida Atlantic University. I was too young to teach in a public school when I graduated, so I taught 2nd and 3rd grade at a private school my first year. Then I taught 5th grade at Galaxy Elementary in Boynton Beach for 5 years until my daughter was born. Then I moved to Central Florida, halfway between Daytona Beach and Disney World. There I taught 6th grade for 22 years. When I moved to Lincolnton, Georgia, I taught Special Education in 8th grade and moved with my students until they graduated. I also taught at the elementary school. After ten years, I retired from Georgia and started teaching fifth grade in McCormick in 2017. I also have worked in real estate, owned a restaurant and wrote a newspaper column. I am a founding member of LCPAWS rescue group in Lincolnton. I have a daughter, two stepdaughters, three granddaughters, and a great granddaughter. I live with my husband David, who works at the Augusta National Golf Club, and two rescue dogs. I enjoy water sports, travel, great food, reading and going to concerts. I love teaching!
