Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!!
I am so thrilled to join the McCormick School Team this year!
A little about me...
My husband and I have recently moved across the state from Charleston to Greenwood for him to continue in his medical training at Self Regional. We have a puppy that we recently adopted and a kitty that my husband adopted when we got married in 2016. So far I have loved the transition from a big city to small town. I am originally from Athens, GA, raised by two Bulldog graduates (GO DOGS!), and have moved all over the South since I left home. I love exploring new places and hope to travel to every continent in the future. So far I have traveled to Ireland, Italy, South Africa, the Bahamas, and St. Lucia in the Carribbean. I am fascinated by culture and understanding the history of other nations.
My Career as a School Counselor...
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Psychology in 2009 and then made the move to Augusta State University (now Augusta University), to obtain my Master's degree in Education in School Counseling. I have worked in a few South Carolina school districts and will be starting my 5th year as a high school counselor. I have a passion for students and their success. I love discussing the students interests, and seeing those dreams become reality as they leave high school to pursue their career. As the school counselor, students are my number one priority. I will be their advocate, their mentor, motivator, and counselor. My job is their success!
