Honors and Awards
Honor Roll
Students who receive all A's for a nine week grading period will be named to the A honor roll. Students who earn all A's and B's in every class for a nine week grading period will be named to the "A-B honor roll". Students who receive all B's for a nine-week grading period will be named to the "B honor roll." Students with the highest academic average in each course are recognized at an annual awards ceremony at the end of the school year. Students having the highest and second highest averages during their high school career are also recognized annually.
Class Rankings/Grade Point Average
Students receiving a diploma must have earned the 24 required units and must have passed the state exit exam. Students who are seniors and who do not meet all requirements for a state diploma may elect to participate in graduation exercises and receive a district certificate of attendance.

A 93-100
B 85-92
C 77-84
D 70-76
F below 70
ValedictorianThe Valedictorian will be the senior student who has the highest GPA at the end of the third quarter of the senior year. The salutatorian will be the senior student at graduation with the second highest GPA at the end of the third quarter of the senior year.
At the end of the first semester of the senior year, each of these students must have attended McCormick High School three consecutive semesters to be eligible for these honors. (McCormick High School District Policy Manual)
